Graphic data transfer from paper to GIS is a complicated consecution of operations. Map scanning, correction and merging of rasters, separation of layers, vectorizing and attribute data input, vector data joining and verification - this list is far from being complete.
The Easy Trace vectorizer applies a technology based on the idea of an infinite mosaic raster-vector field. You may arrange an arbitrary raster mosaic on it consisting of rasters differing in scale and colority, each of them more than 2 Gb large. Number of vector layers is unlimited, every layer may contain up to 1 million objects.
As a rule, the process flowsheet contains the following operations:
- scanning, geometrical correction and filtering of rasters (color separation and forming of a set of thematic raster layers is also provided for color rasters);
- automatic or interactive tracing accompanied with attribute data input;
- multicriterion control and editing of vector entities;
- automatic joining of vector fragments into a single coverage;
- end control and data export to your GIS.
